Botox Cosmetic
Botox (a product of Allergan Pharmaceuticals) otherwise known as Botulinum toxin, is a purified from of a potent neurotoxin, produced by bacteria called Clostridium Botulinum.

This has been used for many years for treating medical conditions involving muscle spasms (such as cerebral palsy) successfully. Extremely small doses, when injected into small muscle groups that cause unsightly
wrinkles on the face, will cause tremendous improvement in the appearance of the face for cosmetic purposes. As you know, a 'happy face' goes a long way in today's world!

About the Procedure
The procedure involves injecting small and extremely dilute amounts of Botulinum toxin, using ultra-fine needles, into facial muscles around the frown lines, forehead lines, crow's feet and even the prominent neck muscle lines.

The procedure can be done in just 10 minutes, requires no anesthesia, in an out patient setting with no down time. The complications are minor and extremely rare. The results last approximately 3-4 months. However, after repeated Botox injections, the residual effects linger longer. Botulinum Toxin has also been successfully used in such conditions as migraines and excessive sweating in the arm pits or the hands.
