Facelifts have come a long way!
Facelifts are also one of the most common cosmetic procedures done today.

As you know, gravity causes havoc
on the body!
Over the years, gravity pulls down not only the skin over the face but also the soft tissue under the skin. For many years during the evolution of facelifts as a cosmetic procedure, only the skin had been lifted and stretched over the face. This worked fairly well on younger patients with good infrastructure under the skin. However, it often produced a "wind tunnel" appearance in people who had drooping tissues underneath. Cosmetic surgeons then developed deeper planes of surgery which produced better results but had increased risks for complications.

The new Mini Facelift actually addresses all of the issues. This operataion minimizes the skin level surgery and deep dissection but effectively pulls the infrastructure with permanent sutures and still produces excellent results.
